At the entrance of the Nice Jazz Festival site
During the entire duration of the Nice Jazz Festival, in collaboration with the association “les bouchons d’amour”, the City of Nice is organizing a collection of plastic bottle caps at the entrance of the Festival site.
The collected caps will then be sold to a recycler, and the funds raised will be used to finance projects for people with disabilities, particularly for purchasing handisport equipment. A simple and easy action that combines solidarity and ecology.
In practical terms, containers are installed at the entrance of the festival site, at the security checkpoint, and are emptied every evening by a volunteer from the association.
During the Open de Nice Côte d’Azur 2011, the association collected 52 kilograms of caps.
Recognized as being of general interest, Les Petits Bouchons was created by Jean-Marie BIGARD, its patron.
