For the fifth consecutive year, as part of its “Gym Solidaire” program, OGC Nice has committed to supporting the most disadvantaged residents of Nice by providing assistance to Inter-Secours Nice.
To achieve this, Jean-Pierre Rivรจre, President of OGC Nice, handed over a check for โฌ8,100 to the Alpes Maritimes Food Bank. This amount was collected through the cooperation between the Gym and its supporters.
Indeed, this sum was raised during the Nice vs. Lorient match on January 23, 2016, where one euro was deducted from each ticket sold.
The presentation took place at the Alpes Maritimes Food Bank premises in the Glaciรจre area, attended by Joรซlle Martinaux, Vice-President of the Centre Communal dโAction Sociale and Deputy Delegate for Social Affairs and Solidarity, Jean-Pierre Caron, Vice-President of the Alpes Maritimes Food Bank, and Marie Louise Fรฉnart, coordinator at Inter-Secours Nice.
The President of OGC Nice emphasized the importance of the club’s social role. “I often repeat it, but what touches me the most in my role as President of a football club is being able to help through our citizen action program. OGC Nice has an important social role, and it makes sense to fulfill it with maximum involvement.”
Joรซlle Martinaux thanked the Gym for its support. “The generosity of OGC Nice is essential to the work carried out by the City’s Communal Center for Social Actions throughout the year.”
