SOPHI.A, Springboard for Artificial Intelligence

Latest News

Sophia Antipolis, the first European technopole and cradle of digital technology, will host, from this Wednesday to Friday, for three days, the best specialists in Artificial Intelligence during a large international symposium bringing together researchers, businesses, citizens, economic partners, and students.

Scientific conferences, debates, round tables, collaborative events, and experiential paths will bring together the academic world and the business sector for cross-perspectives on various current themes such as AI and cognition, AI and health, AI and the living world, AI and vision, AI and the economy, transport, education, art and creativity, and digital humanities…

These are as many subjects that overflow the traditional frameworks of disciplinary scientific research and require an open and transdisciplinary approach.

The Department 06 has partnered with CASA and the Université Côte d’Azur to organize this major event, which fully aligns with the ambition of the SMART Deal to collectively consider the challenges posed by digital technology and new technologies.

Two public evenings will also allow for a more interactive approach to sensitive issues in order to address the questions and even concerns of citizens about the impact of Artificial Intelligence on their daily lives (such as the world of work, security, and individual freedoms) and ethical questions (such as medicine and medical ethics, and philosophy of life).
