Oil depletion: myth or reality? What costs and what strategy should be adopted to implement the Kyoto Protocol and effectively combat climate change? Between nuclear power, “clean coal,” and renewable energy sources, what energy policy should now be deployed in the short and long term to preserve natural resources and protect the environment? These are some of the questions this exhibition will attempt to answer by drawing on the testimony and pioneering experience of about twenty specialists from Northern Europe (Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands), Southern Europe (Spain, Italy), Israel, the Middle East, and South America (Peruvian delegation).

Supported by notable sponsors and partners such as the EDF Group, ADEME, the Sophia Antipolis Foundation, Maisons de France Italie, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, the Club Sophia Nordic Link, CERAM, the EDEN association, the event, open to academic, associative, institutional, and industrial circles, aims to introduce visitors to the latest environmental technological solutions, through:

An Exhibition Area

Centered around 8 villages on themes “Energy Awareness, Renewable Energies, Energy Savings, Construction and Housing, Transport, Competitiveness Clusters, Local Authorities, Ethics and Environment,” ENR AGORA will host regional and European businesses, leaders in their sector, with nearly forty stands featuring continuous demonstrations (electric bicycles, solar vehicles, 3D landscape softwareโ€ฆ). Didactic artistic exhibitions will enhance the space to help participants better understand current issues.

An Animation Area

On Thursday, July 5 from 10 am to noon: A societal debate on the theme “Energy Revolution: the new global challenges” will be hosted by Henri Lauret, journalist at France-Infos, and will welcome many scientific personalities. It will be followed by the official inauguration of the exhibition.

In the afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm, 2 plenary sessions split into two parts each will invite participants to reflect on the following themes “How to help citizens become the prosumers of tomorrow?” hosted by Valรฉrie Blanchot-Courtois, and “New Renewable Energies: the most profitable sectors for the future” hosted by Jean-Pierre Largillet. A festive evening will conclude these conferences.

On Friday, July 6 from 10 am to noon, a 3rd session will challenge civic consciousness on the “Ecological Challenge: what measures to apply for the survival of the planet?” hosted by Philippe Muller. A synthesis of the workshops will be made in mid-afternoon. Two thematic villages will commit at the end of these 2 days to innovative citizen energy projects that will be presented during the 2008 edition.

Alongside these conferences, thematic workshops will be organized on the themes: Energy Awareness, Competitiveness Clusters, ENR & Energy Savings, Construction & Housing, Transport & Local Authorities, Ethics & Environment.

A Media Area
