The Southern Nights festival has carved out a place among the top venues in the region in just eleven years! In 2008, more than 55,000 people gathered at the Grand Jardin Square in Vence to interact with the diversity of artists who graced the Vençoise stage. Will this record be broken for this 12th edition, whose official presentation will take place on Friday the 19th at the Unisys International Management Center in Saint-Paul de Vence?

This year, the organizers support and accompany artistic creation by initiating a meeting between two artists; Juan Carmona (flamenco guitarist – France) and Dominique Fillon (Latin Jazz pianist – France).
In collaboration with the Forum Jacques Prévert of Carros, this 3-day in situ residency, an innovative artistic project will be presented on the stage of the Southern Nights in Vence on Friday, July 31st, and is expected to tour around France.
The Southern Nights consist of 11 paid evenings and “3 Days of the South” with animations, exhibitions, concerts, all free from 10 AM to midnight!
Among the free concerts are the famous “Southern Talent Nights-Unisys,” which give a chance to a few lesser-known groups to perform on a large stage. The selection was tough among the 170 who submitted their applications as the program can only retain nine, here is the list:
Thursday, July 16: Earz Group, Plume, Milenka, Leïdo, Haute Couture
Thursday, July 23: Quadricolor (winner of the 2009 Adem Springboard), Kim Cao, Tram des Balkans, Yuna Project, Wipping Willow
