For the 30th edition of the European Heritage Days, the Blasco Ibañez Circle invites you to (re)discover the Fontana Rosa Garden, located on Avenue Blasco Ibañez, in Menton-Garavan, on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2013.
More than 85 years ago, the Spanish writer Vicente Blasco-Ibanez passed away in Menton, after living from 1922 until his death in Villa Fontana Rosa, in Garavan.
In this garden, he wished to recreate, with the help of local artists, landscapers, and his gardeners, a garden reminiscent of Valencia, his native region, explaining his choice by saying: “Menton is the most beautiful and poetic place on the Côte d’Azur.”
Additionally, there will be a demonstration of baluster creation by Stéphane Montalto, awarded as one of the best craftsmen in France.
