The anger and despair of thousands of people, both in France and Italy (including a petition with over 26,000 signatures in Piedmont) will ultimately overcome the cynicism of politics?
That is the goal of the citizens’ collective “The Indignants of the Nice-Cuneo-Ventimiglia Rail” which continues to carry out protest actions, the latest of which was the spectacular occupation of the Scarassoui viaduct, bombed many times during World War II and rebuilt in the 1970s, a highly symbolic link in the French Roya Valley between Piedmont, Liguria, and the Côte d’Azur.
It went very well, despite the large black clouds gathering and 3 drops of rain, while an eagle, perhaps a short-toed snake eagle (difficult to determine from that distance) came to greet the end of this operation. Another symbolic sign?
The fifty or so citizens who participated wore fluorescent road safety vests and white masks, and 4 people took care of slowing down the very heavy traffic in both directions.
The occupants of the cars often approved of this action with gestures.
Why this type of action at this location?
The hanging mannequin: it symbolizes the economic death and the death of life projects in the French and Italian alpine valleys.

The blue-white-red and green-white-red smoke bombs that mix symbolize the union and exchanges between the two countries, while the red distress flare sends out a call for help.
The white masks worn by the participants signify the socio-economic and environmental suffocation (pollution) in which the populations are plunged.
