53 states and governments present; 3,500 participants including 2,500 competitors, 500 escorts, and 500 officials; 900 accredited journalists, including 300 international ones; 8 Heads of State present at the opening ceremony.
Thanks to the talented young artists and athletes, the cheerful audiences, the dedicated volunteers, and the committed organizing teams, the eighth edition of the Francophone Games held in Côte d’Ivoire/Abidjan was a resounding success.
Another highlight of this 8th edition of the Francophone Games was the quality of the competitors and their willingness to share.
With emotion, all the participants of the VIII Francophone Games, which took place from July 21 to 30, attended the closing ceremony of these Games!
The Games flag was handed over to New Brunswick, Canada, which will host the 9th edition of the Francophone Games in 2021!
