Under the leadership of Bernard Curzi, the program director, and in the presence of RCT’s general manager Patrick Bouquet, the head of the training center Laurent Emmanuelli, and Olivier Oger, general director of the EDHEC group, the RCT-EDHEC partnership was formalized. The objective is for RC Toulon players, both professionals and those in training, to benefit from online courses via an e-learning platform, with access to teachers from one of the top-ranked schools in France.

โ€œWith this second signing after Olympique Nice Natation in 2013, we are following a development logic and I am delighted,โ€ notes Bernard Curzi.

This agreement responds to the request of the FFR via the training clubs and the players who need to have a dual career plan for future career transitions. It continues the actions taken by EDHEC through its BBA EDHEC High-Level Athletes program, with professional players’ unions and sports federations to ensure the education of high-level athletes.

โ€œI want to congratulate EDHEC for its commitment, the academic support, and coaching done with athletes in general, it’s a very good thing. We are together for a beautiful and hopefully long adventure,โ€ emphasizes Patrick Bouquet, general manager of RC Toulon.

An advancement also made possible by the preliminary work done by Bruno Kauffmann, a former journalist at TF1, with Bernard Curzi. Among the students of this High-Level Athletes (SHN) program at the EDHEC group are Clermontois international Damien Chouly and Montpelliรฉrain, Provale president Robins Tchale Watchou, who are impressed by a highly effective online learning that allows them to combine high-level sport and higher education, with the guarantee of obtaining a diploma equivalent to that of students who followed a traditional curriculum.

โ€œWe are proud to reach this partnership with RCT, which represents the elite of rugby in Europe. On our side, we aim to be the elite of business schools. If we can further help you to win, we will do everything necessary,โ€ explains Olivier Oger, general director of the EDHEC group.
