After the politicians’ wishes, it’s time for the athletes’ wishes. The CDOS, Départemental Olympic Sports Committee, gathered athletes and volunteers to wish for the year 2017. The meeting, held at the Administrative Center of Alpes Maritimes (CADAM), was marked by the presence of high-level athletes and Eric Ciotti.
It was a dense assembly present for these wishes. Standing, ready to listen to the speech of Mr. Ciotti but especially of Philippe Manassero, president of CDOS 06. A prose initiated by a tribute, of course, to all the direct or collateral victims of the July 14th attack.
And rather than dwell on a heavy, burdensome minute of silence weighing on everyone’s heart, Mr. Manassero wished for a minute of applause, warm and full of hope, virtues found in sports.
“Sport is life,” even advances the president of CDOS 06. An opportunity for him to thank the athletes who have proudly represented the colors of Alpes-Maritimes. Ultimately, classic wishes, thanking the stakeholders who move the cause forward. Therefore, athletes, but also volunteers, professionals, partners, politicians.
These wishes also express the desire to look towards 2017 and announce his candidacy for the next mandate.
Perhaps the opportunity to strengthen the development of sports actions, whether it is the Sports Caravan, Olympic days, feel sporty, a red card against violence, the sports film festival, and many others.
