The Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of Alpes-Maritimes, as part of the social and civic initiatives it develops, wanted to set up a program to bring 35 children and 15 supervisors, who are not going on vacation this summer, to the Sports Caravan stage in Ascros this Saturday, in collaboration with Secours Populaire Franรงais.
The CDOS 06 is covering the entire travel and day expenses for these young children from the neighborhoods of Nice.
They will be able to spend a day in the mid-country, in the very beautiful village of ASCROS, and thus enjoy the “Sports Caravan” event that allows them to discover and try out various sports and recreational activities under the guidance of our qualified educators.
“The Sports Caravan is an event for sports initiation but not only,” says the president of CDOS 06, Philippe MANASSERO, “our goal is also to promote social ties and impart values of respect, friendship, sharing, and solidarity. Quite simply, the values of Olympism.”
The Sports Caravan is intended for children and teenagers aged 4 to 14, and to participate, one simply needs to go to the Village Square from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:30.
In Ascros, the youngsters can participate in a multitude of sporting activities: athletics, baseball, football, golf, gymnastics โ trampoline, judo, karate, pรฉtanque, sport boules, rural sports, tennis, table tennis, shooting, and volleyball.
