Spotlight on the 2nd edition of the Cannes Urban Trail

Latest News

A friendly atmosphere and courses that will leave their mark for some time on the aching bodies of the 3,000 runners!

Beach, stairs, paths, road, passage under the funicular, the organizers of this 2nd edition rolled out the red carpet and didn’t spare the trail runners.

Cherry on top: a privileged passage within the protected Park of the Croix des Gardes and climbing the steps of the Palais des Festivals.

Focus on the 25 km

The Rouen native Benjamin Chabarot claimed victory in 1h43’57’’. Laurent Dodet took second place in 1h46’45’’. Sébastien Poesy finished in third position in 1h48’14’’.

On the women’s side, it was Marion Joly-Testault, the big winner of the 25 km last year, who once again claimed the top spot on the podium in 2h00’19’’.

Focus on the 15 km

On the 15 km, unsurprisingly, the favorite François Mourgue won the prize in 1h02’07’’. Stephan Kalfon finished in second place in 1h04’29’’, and Antoine Vermaut climbed to the third step of the podium with a time of 1h04’30’’.

Focus on the 9 km

Levente Dorogi won the Cannes Decouverte Run in 37’23’’. On the women’s side, it was Elena Serrano Camison who emerged victorious in 43’41’’.

Focus on the kids urban trail

New for 2019: the youngest competitors also had their dedicated event: the Kids Urban. 90 children aged 7 to 11 set off at the foot of the Palais des Festivals over a distance of 1 km!
