As part of the national school sports day and the launch of the “Year of School to University Sport,” an UNSS event took place yesterday, Wednesday, September 16, in the afternoon on the Promenade des Anglais between Gambetta and Halévy.
On this occasion, it was a way to remind young people, as well as others, that it is very important to take care of their bodies and engage in sports.
There was also an awareness of certain diseases and other health issues.
The festivities began at around 2 PM with the arrival of primary, middle, and high school classes, as well as the exceptional participation of the Institute of Business Administration of Nice (a higher education institution specializing in management sciences), the I.A.E. Everyone participated in several relay races before joining the small village of associations present to support the event and lighting the flame of the ASEU (Year of School to University Sport).
The children were numerous despite this event happening shortly after the start of the school year. They showed up and were even delighted to collaborate in this wonderful cause with laughter and smiles.
In addition, there were partnerships. The cancer league association, with its president Maurice Schneider and chairwoman Janine Bellot, signed with the regional UNSS committee represented by its director Serge Morisot. Their aim is to unite their efforts in health prevention.
They will jointly carry out health prevention and education actions, particularly among the youth.
