With 2,000 participants across all events, including more than 500 runners registered for the main event, the 3rd edition of the Ultra-Trail® Côte d’Azur Mercantour promises to be exciting.
The most courageous will embark from the Aire Saint-Michel towards the valleys of the Mercantour National Park, heading to Saint-Martin-Vésubie. An atypical, demanding, spectacular, and technical route: 10,000 meters of ascent and 9,000 meters of descent.
In total, the ultra-trailers will cover 145 km from the base of Mont Chauve to the perched village of Saint-Martin-Vésubie (975 meters in altitude).
Competitors will evolve through the well-preserved natural heritage of the Nice hinterland, breathtaking landscapes, and 360° panoramas with the deep blue sea on the horizon.
They will cross the natural treasures of our department such as Mont Chauve, the Plateau de la Madone d’Utelle, Mont Archas, and finally Mont Pépoiri, the highest point of the course at 2,674 meters.
