I am pleased that Marine LE PEN, President of the National Front, was able to secure the 500 sponsorships that enable her to be an official candidate for the French Republic’s presidency, even though I am surprised that it took so long to gather these signatures, a delay that can only be explained by the pressure exerted on the elected officials.
It is a great relief and a very good thing for democracy, because it would have been surreal for a candidate credited with 20% of the voting intentions to be absent from the electoral race.
Today marks a new phase of the campaign, where we need to go and explain to the French people the necessity of a general mobilization over the next 40 days, so that Marine LE PEN can be present in the second round.
