Jean-Michel Prêtre, the Public Prosecutor in Nice, provides a second update following last Saturday’s protest, during which Geneviève Legay, a 73-year-old activist, was injured.
New footage gathered during the investigation allows him to conclude that:
“The injuries sustained by Ms. Legay resulted from the actions of a police officer, whose intention—whether voluntary or involuntary—now needs to be assessed,” declared the Public Prosecutor.
