Christian Estrosi announced his intention to implement enhanced protection measures for travel.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign began this week in Nice. However, Christian Estrosi is not letting his guard down. During his New Year wishes to seniors, he stated that everyone’s health is the most important thing. Therefore, the mayor “wants enhanced protection measures”. Firstly, for foreign travelers, he wishes that guarantees be obtained, or that a PCR test be mandatory in their territory.
But that’s not all; he also wants to prohibit seasonal rentals for the February holidays. Fearing significant traffic in his city, the aim of this prohibition is to minimize the risks of transmission and contamination as much as possible. After having discussed with the prefect, Christian Estrosi warns that if the request is not validated by the Government, he will issue a municipal decree. “It is through the acceleration of vaccination, as well as collective measures that we will be able to collectively emerge from this situation,” he concludes.
