The academic year 2013-2014 is coming to an end: it is time for the Federation of Student Associations and Corporations of the Alpes Maritimes to start preparing for the 2014 school year, and to hand over to a new board, and new ideas.
But more importantly, it’s the time when the new board for the year 2014-2015 will be unveiled! With an almost completely renewed board, reallocated positions, a restructured organization, two concepts will drive FACE 06: sustainability and innovation.
New board, new ambitions
The program is here: โObviously, we must sustain the existing events, never forgetting that they must always be improved; this is one of the priorities of the new board. On the one hand, events such as the Night of Cinema, the University Tour, or the Student Welcome Day have become essential. On the other hand, the new board has set itself the goal of creating two additional major events with the ambition to establish them as institutional events in student life. Thus, an Arts and Culture Festival, as well as University Games, will be created.
The new board has a major requirement to restore the central role of the student association network of FACE 06. The chosen organization is in the form of poles, with a pole exclusively in charge of the network and its management. It is a team specially dedicated to our origins and our raison d’รชtre: the member associations. It is part of FACE 06’s values to place the network at the center of its interests.
Finally, representing students in the best possible way is a priority. Therefore, with the aim of continuously improving representation among the students of the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, preparation for upcoming electoral deadlines will be optimized, particularly the Crous elections.โ
A final word from the outgoing president Jรฉrรดme Doyet: โHe is committed to ensuring that the values so dear to our federation are respected because FACE 06 must evolve, but its philosophy must be preserved and passed on year after year. Following significant growth since 2009, with large-scale creations (Student Welcome Day, Cinema Nights, Agoraรฉ, so many projects supported by the electoral choices of students), the past two years have been about stabilization. It is time to give a new impetus, filled with innovation, to our so beautiful Federation.โ
