The elections designating student representatives are approaching. On December 6 and 7, every student will have the right to vote to choose the person who will become the spokesperson for all students and thus carry out projects for them.
They can be compared to class representative elections, but on a larger scale. It is thanks to this kind of initiative that today the JAE (Student Welcome Days) exist, for example.
This event is important because it helps to make life easier for any student. The goal is to take everyone’s opinions into account in order to improve their lives. Thatโs why your opinion matters and every proposal will be considered.
What have the representative elections achieved?
These elections have allowed student voices to be heard in response to sensitive issues, such as student poverty. This resulted in the creation of solidarity grocery stores, like the Agoraรฉ, which enable students to do their shopping at reduced prices.
The opportunity to eat for free is also possible thanks to the solidarity restaurant. And once again, it is thanks to the representative elections that today sanitary pads are available on campuses.
These elections have led to many other innovations. Events allowing students to have fun, such as the Facetival festival, which takes place every year, or even the student carnival Faceparade, have notably come to life.
And there are other new proposals for these upcoming elections, such as expanding the Agoraรฉ outside of Nice. Your voices matter, so make sure to cast your vote on December 6 and 7 to make your opinion count at the polls.
