This weekend, the Rotary Club of Menton hosted its first edition of the Auto Moto Show at the Stade Rondelli. It was a gathering for all car and motorcycle enthusiasts, who came in large numbers to attend this unprecedented event!

For this 1st edition of the Menton Auto Moto Show, the Rotary Club and the Municipality chose Stade Rondelli to host all the exhibitors and visitors of the event. From 9:30 AM to 6 PM, engine enthusiasts were able to discover the newest models from 14 of the most reputed brands on the market: from the Citroรซn DS5 HYBRID 4 wd, to the new MAZDA CX5, including a test of the brand new RENAULT TWIZY and the Ford MUSTANG 289 CI. Exhibitors and participants had the chance to exchange ideas about the automotive novelties present at the show.

Peugeot, Chevrolet, Mercedes, and Jaguar shared the stands with many other brands โ€“ and that of the National Gendarmerie! โ€“ as well as 16 equally legendary motorcycle brands: BMW, Honda, Triumph, Yamaha, Aprilia, Kawasaki… They also came to showcase their new two-wheel models and accessories. Among the motorcycle novelties present at the show, Triumph displayed its all-new Tiger Explorer 1200, a newcomer in the field of large road trails, as well as the dazzling Speed Triple R, distinguished by its high-end equipment version.

Nearly forty classic cars were exhibited, rekindling strong emotions among vintage brand enthusiasts: Renault Alpines, Volkswagen Combis, old Porsches, and Chevrolets amazed both young and old. But the undisputed stars of this “old-school” exhibition remained the famous Volkswagen Beetles, delightfully bucolic amid a scene set with bales of straw, lovingly lent by the Sun Cox Azur Club.

The Auto Moto Show attracted nearly 3,000 curious visitors this weekend, a boon for Jean-Claude Bineau, President of the Rotary Club, and its 62 volunteer members. The money collected for this show will be entirely donated to the National Society for Sea Rescue (SNSM), whose fleet needed renewal. From 1999 to 2011, the Rotary Club of Menton raised 455,934โ‚ฌ in donations, entirely given to various charitable associations, a true pride for the azure city!
