Latest News

The Summer Evenings are back for the 24th edition, until September 22. Since 1996, this unique event in France has offered free performances across the departmental territory.

The area transforms into a gigantic open-air performance hall where all artists generously share their emotions, dreams, and passions. Culture will shine everywhere, for everyone, and in all its forms.

A new season that is rich, varied, and festive!

Over the years, this event has become a must-attend meeting, attracting an ever-growing audience. Multiple talents will be expressed with amplitude and energy: from sounds “native here” to music from elsewhere, from classical to pop, including jazz, blues, rock, from theater to humor and cabaret.

In total, there will be 404 performances across 154 communes, thanks to the mobilization of 1,266 artists and technicians.

The Alpes-Maritimes Department will celebrate its cultural diversity throughout the summer with essential events and beautiful exhibitions.

At iconic venues of the Alpes-Maritimes, the Festival of Words will transport the audience into the imaginations of the greatest writers, through live readings.

Les Folies des Lacs will offer several free open-air concerts on the shores of Lake Colmiane. A unique experience where musical pleasure is enhanced by an exceptional natural setting.

Finally, the departmental museums will present exhibitions as beautiful as they are fascinating, like at the Lympia Cultural Space, “Liberté liberté chérie,” until September 15, at the Museum of Asian Arts “The Asia Dreamed by Yves Saint-Laurent,” until October 6, and at the Museum of Wonders “Nomadic Engravings, the Rock Art of the Mongolian and Siberian Steppe,” until March 31, 2020.
