Hundreds of people gathered yesterday morning on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice to support the Ukrainian people.
Many Ukrainians living on the Côte d’Azur, along with Georgians, Moldovans, and numerous locals, came to show their rejection of this war.
Many acts of solidarity are being organized on the Côte d’Azur. Several municipalities, such as Cannes and Saint-Laurent-du-Var, have set up collections for essential goods. The first convoys left Cannes on Saturday, and a second shipment is leaving this Sunday.
Several Ukrainian families have arrived on the Côte d’Azur, according to the Franco-Ukrainian Association Côte d’Azur. They are seeking places to accommodate the refugees who will continue to arrive in the coming days.
