It was within the setting of the sublime Villa Masséna that Sylviane Casanova was decorated with the insignia of the Legion of Honor by Christian Estrosi on Thursday, August 28.
A ceremony during which emotion was palpable, the Deputy Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, praised the qualities of this woman who began her career with the National Police in 1979. She was successively assigned to General Intelligence, Border Police before being seconded on May 23 to the City of Nice to become the Director of Security and Protection at the mayor’s request.
For Sylviane Casanova, it is a tremendous honor that she wished to share with her two grandparents who had exemplary careers during the Second World War.
