Table Tennis: Nice Players Welcome Issy-les-Moulineaux Players

Latest News

On the occasion of the 13th day of the Pro B table tennis championship, Nice CPC is set for a true gala evening on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Raoul-Dufy hall. The event will feature the reception of Issy-les-Moulineaux, the runner-up to Argentan and the strong favorite for promotion to Pro A.

Defeated on February 28 in Metz (4-1) after an unbeaten run of nearly three months, the Nice pongists are ranked 5th in the championship, with a balanced record of four wins, four draws, and four losses. The goal of maintaining their position, set by the club’s management at the beginning of the season, is within reach.

Against Issy-les-Moulineaux, they will play without pressure but with the determination, especially in front of their home crowd, to shake the giant led by Taiwanese player Chen Chien An, who remains unbeaten this season.

The audience at the Raoul-Dufy hall will also have the opportunity to observe the progress of the two young players from Issy, Enzo Angles and Romain Lorentz, two great hopes for French table tennis.

“This match against a declared candidate for promotion is one of the first major encounters we will experience in 2012. We want to show the Nice public our determination to perform well in this match, which, no matter the result, will have no impact on the rest of our season,” says President Julien Fraudeau.
