Table Tennis: SPO Rouen vs. Nice CPC

Latest News

On the occasion of the 16th day of the Pro B table tennis championship, Nice CPC will make its penultimate away trip of the season to face SPO Rouen, on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Upper Normandy.

After a series of three defeats on February 28 in Metz (4-1), on March 13 against Issy-les-Moulineaux (2-4), and on April 3 in Saint-Louis (4-0), the Nice players superbly turned things around by achieving their second victory of the season against Villeneuve-sur-Lot, on April 17 at the Raoul-Dufy hall (4-2). Thanks to this fifth win, they are currently ranked 5th in the championship, tied with… SPO Rouen, their next opponent.

Assured of continuing their journey in Pro B next season, the team led by Olivier Maero and Cรฉdric Rouleau will play without any pressure away from home against a contender for promotion that has often been hampered by injuries. However, they will strive to perform better than in the first leg, where the Rouen team, led by Serbian Marko Jevtovic and the young Alexandre Robinot, won at Raoul-Dufy (1-4).

“I am reassured by our last home victory. I now wish our players to end the season in the best possible way, with perhaps a few surprises,” hopes president Julien Fraudeau.
