cpc-2.jpg Given the strengths of the teams on the court, Nice Cavigal TT was certainly favoured by the odds against the Upper Normandy team ALCL Grand-Quevilly. However, it was still necessary to confirm this advantage at the table.

In front of their audience, the Azureans displayed their determination and great team spirit to achieve their third victory of the season. Three wins and two drawsโ€ฆ in six matches!

The start of the evening was not restful, as Cavigal’s Bosnian player, Admir Duranspahic, was surprised by Tang Si’s consistency and power. After two very tight initial sets, with each player taking one, the match became one-sided in favor of the Chinese player, who gave nothing away after that.

Marcos Madrid also faced difficulties in the first set of his match against Konstantinos Lagogianis. Still relatively unknown in France, the Greek displayed courage, audacity, and reflexes to take the first set. The Mexican then took control of the game, delivering three flawless sets and allowing Nice Cavigal TT to equalize with Grand-Quevilly. The third match was one-sided in favor of the Varois player Anthony Gรฉminiani, who was up against the promising and very physical Quentin Pradelle. The Nice captain imposed his insight, experience, and consistency, not dropping a single set.

After the break, Marcos Madrid faced Tang Si. The two players offered the most spectacular match of the evening to the audience. Most of the long and beautiful rallies were won by the Mexican, who was very strong technically and mentally. He greatly contributed to the Nice victory. Admir Duranspahic, not successful earlier in the evening, did not falter when it was time to seal Cavigal’s victory. He dominated Quentin Pradelle in three straight sets.

Nice Cavigal TT shares the third place on the Pro B podium, tied on points with Morez and Villeneuve-sur-Lot. In the seventh round, they will challenge the leader Caen TTC in Lower Normandy, next Tuesday. The next match at Raoul-Dufy hall is scheduled for December 18 with the reception of the Lorraine team Metz TT.
