The 20th edition of the Open de Cagnes-sur-Mer Alpes-Maritimes began this Saturday under a rainy sky with the first round of qualifications and the main draw. Due to weather conditions, only 2 matches could take place.

This Sunday, the first round of qualifications will continue before making way for the second round matches.

5 French players will be present in the main draw of this 20th edition. Chloé Paquet will face Australian Lizette Cabrera and, in case of a victory, she could meet the 2016 finalist and 2015 winner, Carina Witthoeft, in the second round. Fiona Ferro will take on the Montenegrin Danka Kovinic, world No. 106 and seed No. 5.
