With the ATP 250 moving from Nice to Lyon, the founder of the eponymous academy has decided to create his own Challenger starting in 2017!
The coach of Serena Williams has decided to launch a competition called the Verrazzano Open, which will take place at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy from April 3 to April 9.
The prize money for this new Challenger will be $75,000 and it will take place on clay courts with a central court set up within the academy.
The players will be able to enjoy the excellent facilities of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. Good news for French tennis.
