Tennis: Diane Parry defeated in the first round in Cleveland

This Monday, Anastasia Potapova faced the French player Diane Parry in the first round of the WTA 250 in Cleveland.

A week before the start of the US Open, the last Grand Slam of the season, Diane Parry is ending her preparation poorly.

Facing Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No. 5 seed, Diane Parry completely missed her match.

Diane was outclassed in just over an hour by a peak-performing Potapova.

The World No. 44 qualified for the second round of the Cleveland tournament, at the expense of the French player, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

Potapova is set to meet the winner of the match between Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova and Dane Clara Tauson in the next round.
