On the road to Roland Garros, Cagnes-sur-Mer hosts the third major French meeting of international women’s tennis on clay: the ENGIE Open de Cagnes-sur-Mer Alpes-Maritimes.


This year, it will take place from April 30 to May 8, 2016, at the Pierre Sauvaigo Sports Park in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

The leading women’s sporting event in the Alpes-Maritimes, a leader in its category, and awarded the “Best French ITF Tournament” at the 2015 Women’s Tennis Trophies, the tournament is a must-attend event on the international calendar for earning important points in the world rankings.

For 18 years now, the ENGIE Open de Cagnes-sur-Mer Alpes-Maritimes has welcomed the best French and international players: Tatiana Golovin, Marion Bartoli, Alizée Cornet, Kristina Mladenovic, Angelique Kerber… Caroline Garcia, winner of the 2013 edition, has continued to progress since then, making her mark on the international courts.
