TER: An agreement reached for a return to normal traffic starting today

Latest News

Having been on strike since December 9, an agreement has been reached between the management of the SNCF and the union representatives of the TER (Transport express rรฉgional) drivers.

At the request of the SNCF, the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes gathered representatives from the national management of the company and trade union organizations.

The discussion, which started on Wednesday, February 4 at 6 PM, concluded on Thursday, February 5 at 5 PM with the signing of a draft agreement.

This draft agreement will be presented at the general assemblies of the unions on Friday morning. These unions had been demanding additional staff to cope with the implementation of scheduling in Provence-Alpes-Cรดte-d’Azur, which results in a 20% increase in TER services.

The agreement includes training for 24 drivers from the Nice employment area and a rotating schedule with a limitation on the kilometers driven by the agents, based on their physiological capacities.

If the general assemblies vote in favor, TER traffic is expected to gradually resume from tomorrow afternoon.
