Are you interested in the agricultural world and the various issues associated with agricultural development in France? Are food problems troubling you? Are you attracted to agricultural professions? Does the environment concern you? TERRE D’INFOS has the solutions. This temporary national channel was created for the International Agriculture Show. Its purpose is to make known to as many people as possible the various questions and issues of the world of agriculture.
To learn more, Nice-Premium contacted the main host of this temporary channel: Arnaud Delomel.
Nice Premium: A new television channel, “Terre d’Infos,” has just been launched on February 1st. What is its concept?
Arnaud Delomel: It is a news channel at the heart of the agricultural world, commissioned by a call for tenders by the permanent assembly of chambers of agriculture. And this year, “Frontline,” the company of Bernard de la Villardière, won the contract. The dominant themes of this channel are rural life, food, ecology, and current affairs… But beware, it is not “the channel of agriculture…,” the editorial line of Terre d’Infos is much broader.
N-P: What is the objective of this first temporary television channel?
A.D.: Actually, it isn’t exactly the first temporary television channel. Last year, “Terre d’Infos” already existed but was broadcasted only for 9 days, during the agricultural show. This year, its lifespan is slightly over two months. It aims to talk about agriculture and give it a modern image. Indeed, innovation is very present in this field, and unfortunately, we too often tend to associate agriculture with an “old-fashioned” image. Let’s not forget that France is, I believe, the top agricultural country in the world. Our country is rich in quality food products…
Terre d’Infos thus creates an event around the agricultural show which will take place this year from March 3rd to March 11th. I also invite all readers of Nice-Premium to attend the various live broadcasts during the duration of the show.
N-P: It is true that today environmental problems are more publicized. Calls are issued every day to citizens to become aware that our planet suffers and is polluted due to human activities. Does “Terre d’Infos,” with its programmed lifespan, not symbolize that Earth too could become ephemeral if we do not react?
A.D.: In the long term, it would be good for the channel Terre d’Infos to be broadcasted 365 days a year in order to inform and raise awareness among citizens about the various problems related to our environment and more generally to our health. Moreover, I believe that the French are sensitive to the themes we address, the proof: the ecological pact by Nicolas Hulot was a great success, and each year the agricultural show welcomes more than 700,000 visitors, including over 50,000 children.
N-P: Is there an explanation for this choice of date: birth on February 1, 2007, and end on April 9, 2007?
A.D.: In fact, the agricultural show takes place from March 3rd to March 11th, which explains this choice. During the month of February, we broadcast the “best of” from last year and from March 3rd you can discover “fresh” programs.
N-P: Arnaud Delomel, you are the main host of this channel, what exactly does this role consist of?
A.D.: Well, it’s an interesting role. Until March 3rd, I announce and present the upcoming programs on the channel. From March 3rd, I will be live every day. My broadcasting day starts at 9 am by presenting the morning show. Its duration of 26 minutes allows me, with my columnists, to present the press review, the weather, the horoscope… and every day I will welcome a different personality. Moreover, throughout the day, I will announce the upcoming programs on the channel and host segments related to innovation…
