On Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 12 noon, the “Silver Territoria” award will be presented at the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes. This award is given by the Territoria Innovation Awards jury to the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes in the category of services to individuals for its unique handisports policy.
The Territoria award, organized by the National Observatory of Public Innovation, has, for many years, contributed to the recognition of the discreet and ongoing work of innovation and modernization accomplished by local authorities, regardless of their size, nature, or situation.
The ambitious policy to promote, develop, and facilitate access to handisports is now recognized nationally as an example of modernity and solidarity.
This award highlights the policy pursued by the Department in favor of disabled individuals, on the eve of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
