Terrorism: The Ecologists Call for Prevention and Intervention Policies

Latest News

We condemn this senseless massacre of innocent victims, including children, at a highly symbolic location in a city open to the world, during a celebration of our republican motto of liberty, equality, and fraternity.

No police force could have anticipated this act of madness. We extend our support to the authorities of the Republic and thank the emergency services and all those, anonymous citizens, who assisted the victims.

We will not participate in a futile controversy over surveillance systems and wish for all institutions to unite against terrorism.

We are witnessing the emergence of a new form of terrorism, based on an unpredictable individual act.

This tragedy is the result of the logic of war and power struggles that go beyond France. Our fight will be, as always, a break from violence, with priorities on peace, education, and culture for all.

We call on our supporters to participate with dignity in any show of solidarity towards the victims and their families and encourage solidarity from all citizens in the face of these challenges.

The entire political class must unite to tackle the fundamental issues of terrorism financing and the neglect of certain neighborhoods that lead to the desocialization of individuals capable of committing such atrocities.

It is absolutely necessary to reinstate extensive and long-term prevention and intervention policies, which have been neglected for far too long.
