This afternoon, Bernard Gonzalez, Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, and Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Departmental Council of the Alpes-Maritimes and President of the Board of Directors of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, will thank all the agents mobilized in the department during the storms of November 23, 24, and December 1, 2019.
These intervention forces have intervened massively, with intensity and efficiency, to secure the infrastructure and assist those affected. They are still on the ground to address the remaining damages.
Charles Ange Ginésy announced that the special fund allocated for the storms will be increased to 10 million euros.
