From July 10 to August 29, more than 200 artists from various disciplines will take over Le 109. This is as part of the event: “Voilร lโรฉtรฉ. A public lighting like no other.”
At 89, route de Turin are former municipal slaughterhouses. But for a few years now, these 18,000 mยฒ have been converted into a hub of contemporary cultures contributing to the city’s cultural influence. Each year, this free event shares this extraordinary space with the citizens.
For nearly a month and a half starting this Friday, the doors open to the public for a cultural and enriching holiday. Seven major weekends are planned with a vast program: contemporary art, music, digital arts, dance, theater, puppetry, open-air cinema, urban arts, broader reflections on art and creation… Visitors are invited to observe and practice from the opening.
Friday, July 10 at 5 p.m.: Opening evening
Double opening! One hundred visual artists will showcase their recent creations. Sculptors, painters, photographers, performers will be present. This opening evening will be accompanied by a DJ set by Dimitri from Panisse, small dance performances by the Antipodes Company, a concert by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra dedicated to film music, and an open-air film screening offered by the associations “Il รฉtait un truc” and “Hรฉliotrope.”
From July 10 to August 28 (Wednesday to Friday) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Exhibition of the Forum of Urbanism and Architecture
The Forum of Urbanism and Architecture will reopen the exhibition dedicated to an extraordinary project that brought together two “sacred monsters” of the Nice School: architect Guy Rottier and artist Arman.
Every Friday at 7 p.m.: Exchanges with choreographers
The Antipodes Company invites the public for informal talks with choreographers for the curious.
Every Friday at 9:30 p.m.: Open-air cinema
At nightfall, “Autour deโฆ” will roll out a large screen in the Inner Courtyard for open-air cinema screenings, with programs for all audiences offered by the Cinรฉmathรจque of Nice, the Hรฉliotrope association, Regard independent, Cinema Sans Frontiรจres…
Friday, July 17 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.: “Socio Fiction” laboratory at LโEntre-Pont
Le Hublot will offer a broad reflection conducted in the form of a laboratory open to professionals from all disciplines. A public presentation on Friday, July 17, will address issues of artistic cooperation and collective creation.
Friday, July 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Live web reporters
With Line 16, a week-long workshop open to everyone from 11 years old (upon registration), will allow for the conception and realization of a web report, broadcast live on Friday, July 31.

Every Saturday at 11 a.m.: Dance and wellness workshops
“Des Temps ร soi” with professional instructors for short sessions in workshops, focusing on the body, movement, and wellness.
Saturday, July 11 at 2:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 1: Performances by the National Theatre of Nice
The National Theatre of Nice will host two performances in the Inner Courtyard with “Bande-annonce Goldoni” by Edouard Signolet on July 11 and a reading by Muriel Mayette-Holtz on August 1.
Every Saturday from 4 p.m.: Belapremโ
Panda Events will launch Belapremโ from 4 p.m. in the Inner Courtyard, completely redesigned for the occasion. Outdoor music to listen to, shaded games, live concerts, and DJ sets until 10 p.m. are planned.
Every Saturday from 7:30 p.m.: Dance solos and duos
Outdoors, small dance solos and duos will be presented by the Antipodes Company.
From August 5 to 8: Urban arts
The Whole Street and graffiti artist Otom will showcase urban arts over four days, around a temporary skate park with spray paint, inviting graffiti artists and featuring evening music programming (hip-hop/old school…).
Friday, August 21: Contemporary puppetry
Le Thรฉรขtre de la Massue will gather puppet creators in a workshop all day, with a public presentation at 7 p.m., to closely experience the collectively accomplished work. And to open the puppet ball: Punchinello in person by the Cie Gorgomar, at 6 p.m. at LโEntre-Pont.
Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30: Screening of artists’ films
Screenings of films by artist Ursula Biemann, following her exhibition “Indigenous Knowledge_Cosmological Fictions,” presented in the contemporary gallery of MAMAC (from August 28, 2020, to January 17, 2021), as part of the Manifesta’s Southern Parallels.
