This 11th edition of the Journées Poët Poët promises wonderful encounters, vibrant shows for both young and old, friendly readings and signings, film and short film premieres in the presence of directors and artists, and blends of arts for the delight of all audiences (singing, dancing, slam, readings, sculptures, poetry, storytelling, school workshops…) and of course, surprises around every corner of the events!
Under the theme “Africa(s)”, artistic offerings of all styles will emerge in Nice (at Place Garibaldi, in the heart of the city, at the Maison des Associations Nice Centre, at the Auditorium of the B.M.V.R. Nucéra, at the La Briqueterie and Masséna bookstores, at the Cave Romagnan, at the Carlone Campus, at the Côte d’Azur LGBT Center…) and also throughout the department (Beaulieu-sur-Mer Cinema, La Coupole Cultural Center in La Gaude, the Roya Valley…).
From this beating heart, artistic veins emanate, combining writing, painting, dance, singing, theater, cinema, photography, video, sound, and many other states of Art, making this festival both a plural and unique event.
The mission of the organizing company, Une petite Voix m’a dit, has been for 11 years to democratize Poetry, bring it closer to people by carrying it, with open hearts, into places that are part of our daily lives.
In this year 2017, the world needs more than ever to connect to events that provide reassurance and create links between everyone.
This 11th edition will host two invited poets and patrons of the Festival: Jean-Pierre Verheggen and Marc Alexandre Oho Bambe.
