For the fourteenth Saturday, the Thiers station and Jean Médecin Avenue have been the stage for this parody that has become the weekly mobilization of the “gilets,” self-proclaimed “the voice of the people.”
A few hundred people – the number has stabilized, and it is now the regular participants of the “Saturday march” who are present – represent the inhabitants of a city of 350,000 people?
Fortunately, there were no clashes with the authorities nor any violence: many slogans, a few attempts to create disorder by trying to reach the Carnival space, a bit of comedy like when they kneeled playing the victims, and then all back home, pleased with their feat!

It seems they call this “direct democracy.” One can understand that they need to blow off some steam, but a little respect for others who don’t share the same opinion, no?
