The 14th edition of this event, which over the years has become one of the highlights of the musical agenda in the French Riviera, is set under the banner of excellence: indeed, a dream score will be played for three days at the Palais Acropolis.
More than 60 free concerts and musical activities are on the program, and there is no doubt that the audience will participate in great numbers, increasingly so, one might say.
Since its inception, “C’est pas classique” has hosted a true abundance of talents in its programming. This year, more than 600 artists will once again gather to share moments of pleasure together.
How to choose among all these shows the most attractive? The public will choose for themselves.
Nevertheless, it is possible to highlight some key moments: Friday, November 2 (at 8:30 p.m., Apollon Hall), the performance of sand-artist Katerina Barsukova and violinist Dmitri Makhtin, accompanied by the Cannes Orchestra under the direction of Benjamin Levy.
Saturday, November 3 (at 9 p.m., Apollon Hall), will feature the symphonic work “Queen of Shaba,” composed by Ibrahim Maalouf with a text by Angélique Kidjo.
Sunday, November 4 (at 2:30 p.m., Apollon Hall), the virtuosos Mathias and Julien Cadez, two pianists with multiple facets, take on the challenge of reconciling musicality and fantasy for the benefit of the general public.
The same day (at 7:45 p.m., Apollon Hall), the vocalist Andreas Schaerer, his sextet, and the Cannes Orchestra under the direction of Benjamin Levy will bridge styles with “The Big Wig” symphony for a closing that will captivate the audience.
