Since 14 years ago, SOLIDAR’LIVRES has been giving books a second life, making it the annual opportunity to dust off desks and the library, and to clear out the basement or attic.
On November 27, 28, 29, and 30 at the Salle du 8 Mai in the Port of Antibes, this event aims not only to connect enthusiasts, collectors, or bargain hunters but also encourages the civic circulation of book collections.
Indeed, the “Solidar’livres” initiative also invites buyers to engage in a “good deed” through donations of books.
For those who wish to fill their shelves at the lowest cost, it is an opportunity to find gems that may be rare.
Why Solidar’livres?
The establishment of a system for collecting second-hand books makes it possible to gather literature works, art books, documentaries, and comics in order to offer low-priced sales to the public.
This resale is for the benefit of a solidarity action: foodstuffs are purchased every year and then distributed to Secours Populaire and Restaurants du Cœur.
It also helps partially fund the Déantibulations, which will be held in June 2015.
The public is therefore invited to come and browse through the thousands of books sold at low prices.
