The young people, parents, cities, and hosting venues are always asking for more and this summer of 2015 will surely see all attendance records broken.
From the seaside to the mid and high countryside, the caravan will travel this summer, for its 14th edition, to no fewer than 27 towns in the department with some innovative surprises including the last stage at night in Golfe-Juan (from 5 PM to 10 PM).
The purpose of the Sports Caravan is to introduce children and teenagers aged 4 to 16 to sports. In a festive and friendly atmosphere, they use various structures, thanks to the assistance of departmental committees, to discover even more sports.
This is the strong commitment of the CDOS 06 under its president Philippe Manassero and his team.
This summer, the main theme of the Caravan is dedicated to football with penalty kicks, dribbles, juggling, and various games. A real celebration of the round ball but other sports activities are on the abundant summer menu: athletics – badminton – baseball – basketball – Lyonnaise balls – cycling – EPMM – fencing – golf – football – gymnastics – weightlifting – handball – parasports – field hockey – judo – karate – wrestling – pรฉtanque – adapted sports – rural sports – tennis – table tennis – laser shooting – trampoline – volleyball – road safety course.
At all the events, a “Red Card to Violence” stand allows communication about respect in sports through attractive visuals, quiz-type games, signing of charters, and distribution of “Fair Play” cards to children as well as parents.
“Our motto, to transmit the values of Olympism, allow sports committees to communicate, promote their disciplines but also to reveal vocations and share sports moments with all the children present,” comments Philippe Manassero.
