Since Christmas 1998, the Maison de Pays of Lucéram and Haut Paillon has organized every December a “crèche circuit” with the participation of associations, the residents of the commune, and financial support from the General Council. More than 450 crèches are displayed all over the village of Lucéram.


creche_luceram.jpg Thousands of visitors wander its transformed streets, adorned with a multitude of green branches decorated with red and gold bows and baubles, the colors of Lucéram and the Peïra-Cava station, to discover the crèches.

Of all ages, nationalities, and different religious beliefs, the crèches bring unity.

A WONDERFUL VISIT

Visitors are delighted with their discoveries. An unforgettable spectacle unfolds before their eyes. They walk through the transformed streets, adorned with a multitude of green branches decorated with bows and baubles in the colors of Lucéram: red and gold, all in perfect harmony.

MORE THAN 450 TRADITIONAL CRÈCHES

From the smallest in half a walnut shell to the largest measuring 10 meters long, more than 450 crèches are displayed in the streets, cellars, on fountains, under porches, in the Church, the tower, the chapels, the bread oven, the Crèche Museum, the Old Tools Museum, at the Maison de Pays/ Tourist Office, the Placette, in shops, at the Val Del Prat mill, and in Peïra-Cava, Turini, and Camp d’Argent.

The volunteers at the Maison de Pays have a lovely surprise reserved for visitors who discover the Crèche Museum on Adrien Barralis square.
