The Champions Gala will take place this Sunday, October 28, at 6:30 PM with the exceptional presence of Brian Joubert!
Only a few months after the World Championships, Nice continues to establish itself as a major city for ice sports, on the occasion of the 17th edition of the now-legendary International Figure Skating and Ice Dance Cup organized by the Nice Baie des Anges association.
The competition, listed in the official calendar of the International Federation and counting towards the world ranking of skaters, offers spectators the chance to admire and cheer on top-level athletes. Since 1995, the Nice rink has resonated with the exploits of stars like Brian Joubert, Vanessa Gusmeroli, Artur Gachinski…
Last year, the big winners were American Keagan Messing and Russian Paulina Agafonova in singles, Italians Stefanie Berton / Ondrej Hotarek in pairs, and Russians Valeria Starygina / Ivan Volobuev in dance.
At the close of the event, the traditional Champions Gala brings together all the competition champions, as well as star skaters, ensuring a true show on ice.
This year, two athletes from the Nice Skating School will represent their club and city during the competition: Carla Monzali and Fleur Maxwell.
