The 18th Nice International Half-Marathon, 2009 edition

Latest News

On the upcoming April 19th, the Nice International Half Marathon will celebrate its 18th edition. This beautiful event in Nice has been lucky to be included among the most beautiful French races for a few years now and has become a MAJOR CLASSIC for all French and international runners who do not hesitate to travel thousands of kilometers to run along the famous Promenade des Anglais.

This year once again, the Nice International Half Marathon promises to be a great celebration for everyone, allowing each participant, regardless of their objectives, to enjoy themselves:

The 21.1 km race, first and foremost, is the premier event of the Nice International Half Marathon, featuring an intra-city and seaside route with over 16 km along the beautiful azure coast and a tour of the city’s most stunning sites. This race also serves as a qualifier for the upcoming 21.1 km French Championships on September 20th in Cavaillon. Like last year, competitors who finish the race under 1 hour and 9 minutes for men and 1 hour and 29 minutes for women will receive a bonus of 100€.

The 10 km race, the race for everyone, will be a perfect alternative for those who want to record a time on a shorter distance while enjoying the exceptional views offered by the course. Furthermore, this race also qualifies for the upcoming 10 km French Championships to be held on June 13th in Andrézieux (42).

Teams will once again be highlighted with the club challenges and corporate challenges which will allow, at the Official Post-Race Ceremony at 14:00, to reward the performances of the teams and the cohesion of the groups. FFA clubs will see their efforts doubly rewarded with bonuses for the top three finishes in both the 21.1 km and 10 km distances.
