The 18th Youth and Mediterranean Conference in Villefranche

Latest News

Until November 9, the annual meetings of the Euro-Mediterranean Network are taking place at the Citadel of Villefranche-sur-Mer.

These 18th meetings are essential to ensure the protection of the Mediterranean.

During these three days of debates and discussions, key figures in the protection and awareness of the marine and coastal environment around the Mediterranean will gather to explore the theme of ecotourism in the Mediterranean.

The actions that work and have already been tested will be presented to other stakeholders to find common, concrete, and sustainable solutions. This exchange of best practices will allow delegations to consider solutions to the issues in their areas of intervention.

This event is organized by the Center for the Discovery of the Marine World, an association dedicated to environmental education and sustainable development, and under the high patronage of the European Parliament. This organization is the driving force and leader of the Euro-Mediterranean Network. The highlights of the event will revolve around the proposals of young people on the theme, conferences by experts, and workshops and round tables.

Every year, the Youth and Mediterranean Meetings bring together representatives from the 21 countries around the Mediterranean to develop and sustain the EMN, a network of field actors who unite with the aim of exchanging practices, creating tools, and setting up awareness campaigns throughout the Mediterranean region.

The goal is to protect this small piece of the blue planet to leave a legacy for future Mediterranean generations.
