raid_edhec-7.jpg From May 29 to June 2, 30 teams of four people competed with a passion for sport and the contact with nature. Presented as one of the most challenging raids in France, this event brings together both seasoned professionals and students.

With more than 250 km of courses and 10,000 meters of positive elevation gain divided between mountain biking and trail running, the challenge is immense. Organized by 44 students from EDHEC, this competition required a year of preparation.

Two classes from the business school participated in this project, with the older students being responsible for training the new candidates for the following year. This system has proven itself for 20 years.

On the Promenade des Anglais, many people applauded the competitors. A podium and several stands were set up to thank sponsors and reward the different teams.

While the announcer raised his voice, participants savored the end of the raid. Florian Astruc, president of the association and also a competitor, shared his first impressions: “We had snow and hail at the beginning of the course; it was really tough. I didn’t sleep much, but I’m just happy to have finished it.”

An attitude shared by all the participants. In terms of health, no major incidents were reported. It should be noted that the competitors were accompanied by a doctor, 12 physiotherapists and osteopaths. A true medical army.

Everything was done to combine pleasure and competition. A successful edition that sets the bar very high for next season.
