The Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected the planet for several months, will not have the final say on sports in the region. The Sports Caravan will indeed take place this summer with 16 stops from Menton to Golfe-Juan.
The 19th edition of the Sports Caravan will indeed begin on July 16th in Menton. In partnership with the Departmental Council of the Alpes-Maritimes and the National Sports Agency, it will travel, as it does every year, through coastal cities as well as midland and highland communities.
Children aged 4 to 14 will be able to enjoy a multitude of sports activities for free. Sports will serve as a tool for promotion, development of practice, and mobilization to defend Olympic values.
Beyond sports learning, by avoiding team games or combat sports, there will also be an approach to civic behavior with the SDIS 06 firefighters to introduce lifesaving techniques, with the BPDJ 06 gendarmerie on addictive behaviors, selective sorting with the Communauté d’agglomération de la Riviera française, as well as educational workshops like “Red Card to Violence.”
Animators will teach children specific workshops on health approaches to raise awareness about the new codes to follow so that Covid-19 remains a bad memory.
