La Face06 presents the first edition of the “month of sport.” A month designed to raise public awareness of the importance of sport.
This initiative will take place throughout the month of April. It will materialize through a multitude of projects, online and in-person, set up in different locations around the 06. You can attend conferences, training sessions, daily challenges on social networks, as well as discoveries and initiations to different sports.
What are the upcoming programs?
The first week will focus on the theme of the Olympic & Paralympic Games. There will be a tournament organized by the member associations of Face06 on their campuses. Also present will be an information campaign on social networks. And the NO-FINISH LINE, which took place from April 3rd to 7th.
The second week is themed “Sport & Environment“. On April 11th at 6 PM, the CLEAN WALK SPORTIVE & COMPETITIVE will take place at Nice-Ville Station. The goal of this initiative is “0 cigarette butt”. There will also be the BIKE TOUR on April 13th at 2 PM starting from Promenade des Anglais to Cagnes-sur-Mer. There will be checkpoints with awareness stops with games and activities.
The third week is on the theme of Inclusive Sport.
It will include an introduction to Paralympic sports with paraclimbing, featuring Thierry Delarue, a 5-time world champion in paraclimbing AL-2. Meet on April 18th at 4 PM at the ARKOSE in Nice Valley.
The most important week
The fourth week will be the most comprehensive and will focus on the theme of Sport & Health. The events will kick off on April 21st at 2 PM at the premises of Face06 with Azur Sport Santé, for a Sport and Health training.
There will also be a wellness event for students and seniors.
This will take place on April 24th at 2 PM with the participation of the ABEEL association and professionals in aesthetics, manicure, physiotherapy, osteopathy, cardiology, nutrition, podiatry, sports coaching, and psychology.
Finally, there will be a conference on the theme “How to develop health among students through physical and sports activities in the area?”. The event will be on April 25th at 6 PM, and the venue will be announced later. With the participation of ANESTAPS, Azur Sport Santé, Rémy Olier (pain physiotherapist), Pascal Condomitti (15th deputy delegate for sports), and Fabienne D’Arripe Longueville (professor in STAPS)
