On the occasion of its first edition in this town, the truffle market will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the forecourt of the Town Hall.
Organized by the Lions Club of Saint-Laurent-Var-Mer, in partnership with the truffle growers’ union, this market will offer the opportunity to discover or rediscover the flavors of the black truffle, known as “melanosporum”, in an approach designed to be as accessible as possible.
The tasting stalls will not be the only attraction, as there will also be demonstrations of truffle dogs at 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m., as well as a conference at the Georges Brassens Theater at 3:30 p.m., given by Michel Santinelli, president of the regional truffle growers’ union.
Solidarity will also be at the heart of the event. The proceeds from the gastronomic meal, crafted by Joël Garault, a renowned Michelin-starred chef, at 1 p.m. in the Ferrière Hall, and from the sale of products will be donated to the children of the Archet Hospital.
