The 2011 wishes of the County of Nice Federation.

Latest News

We have received the wishes of this association that ideally sees itself as the heir to the Niçoise culture and tradition… la nissartitude.
Under the title/pseudonym “Le ficanas enchaîné”, these wishes are accompanied by this charming decalogue that we publish for your attention. There’s a lot of irony and some truths in it!
But aren’t today’s dreams the reality of tomorrow?
So why deprive ourselves of them?

2011-4.jpg What we want for 2011!

For this new year, I will express all my wishes, hoping that what I wish for comes true.

For 2011, I would like (we can dream):

  • That we no longer hear about the 150 years.
  • That the Court of Appeal be re-established in Nice.
  • That the bypass highways of Nice be free as is the case in the immediate vicinity of all major cities in France (and like in Brittany where it’s free everywhere).
  • That the Mayor of Nice be touched by grace and become Niçois… and forget Sarko.
  • That Patrick Allemand defends the interests of the Niçois and he forgets… Marseille.
  • That Nice-Matin finally plays its role of local information and informs us sufficiently in advance of the various events that will take place here instead of acting as the spokesperson for the City Hall and the General Council.
  • That all public buildings display the Niçois flag.
  • That the “Gym” wins the French Cup.
  • That the elected officials finally listen to the wishes of the inhabitants who pay their taxes and vote here (they actually only listen to tourists and merchants).
  • That the Commercial Port be moved to the West (for traffic with Corsica and large cruise ships).
  • That the Var plain is not cemented over and that, in concern for ecology and economy, autarkic agriculture be developed there.
  • That parking be constructed in Nice… so we can park our cars.
  • That the major works be stopped for a while and that Nice no longer resembles a permanent open-air construction site.
  • That finally a general city traffic plan be studied with all concerned parties, particularly everyday users (to streamline traffic and avoid having lines of stationary cars with running engines under our windows).
  • That the LGV project towards the East (Turin, Milan, and Genoa) materializes. — That the general council implements a maritime bus service to relieve coastal roads (from Ventimiglia to Mandelieu) and be less polluting.
  • That a three-room rental be found for the French state so it can house its governor (the prefect) and the Palace Sarde be reclaimed. — That a bilingual Nissart-French school comes to fruition.
  • That the “Maïoun Curturale Nissarda” of “Nissart per tougiou” develops and becomes increasingly frequented.
  • That “Sian d’Aqui” recovers from its financial problems and can carry out its projects successfully.
  • That the blogs “www.dionisi-nissa-over-blog.com” and “www.laCountea.com” have more and more visitors.
  • That the site “Racines du Pays Niçois” continues to develop and multiplies its subscribers.
  • That spectators flock massively to see the performances of our storytellers (Richard Cairaschi, Xavier Borriglione, Annie Lalligant, Serge Dotti, Palmyra Montiel…).
  • That the concerts of our favorite bands play to sold-out audiences (Lo Mago d’en Castéu, Nux Vomica, Lu Rauba Capéu…) and they are offered stages in the city of Nice to perform on.
  • That Fréquence K gain more and more listeners.
  • That the LRLN continues the excellent work it has done for quite some time, avoiding getting caught up in politicking and aiming its arrows at the French, not the Niçois.
  • That the Occitanists of all backgrounds leave us alone.
  • That all peoples regain their freedom and sovereignty.

And finally, that the ashes of Nabot-Léon III stay in England!!!
